PLEASE CLICK ON THE FLYER TO VISIT THE BRAINDROP WEBSITE This is one of the Best McMASH sets thats BDR has ever managed to get recorded!, im totaly hyped about gettin it up on here and out to the masses, this rave was something else with a real full on up for it party vibe flowing throughout the venue all nite, it just happened to be Major Kumes Birthday and just happened to be the first time we got the crowd noise recorded so you can probably pick out your voice in the massive happy birthday chorus, if you were lucky enough to be there on the nite!. Kumes got a massive birthday shout from the whole of Braindrop and it was great to see them really getting some love goin in the building like only they now how, also Bass6 was on top form as usual and super hyped the vibe for McMASH CLAN to the max, i really feel that hes got a special relationship with the Braindrop crowd, and they respond with love and respect everytime as they know he will give them nothing but the same back. Graffiti Breakz @ Freeformation went like a Dream with Bass6 hosting our room and some kickin upfront Hardcore, Hard Dance and Freeform playin throughout the rest of the venue. I had a wicked time playin my set to hardcore crowd @ a hardcore venue which was a first for me, so much good vibes from ravers at this event and fancy dress was in order, this time it was a fairy tale or fantasy theme, loads of off the wall costumes were floating about with alice in wonderland being rinsed out to the max so it seemed like half the film had showed up to the rave!!. I did have a few probs hearing behind the dex and with mic levels at the beggining but dont care as had such a memorable nite. I recentley found a load of old Dreamscape and Helter Skelter tap rips online and they are so old now that im think im just gonna chance it and pick out some of the best to stick up... This is one of those sets that really gives you a true impression of just how much the happy hardcore scene really just exploded from late 94, being happy but still had drums behind most parts and was slightly slower, to the full on stomping your brains into oblivion super charged insanely positive fairground ride mind fuck of 95!!! the crowds of the time were just blown away and responded with the loudest whistles and horns atmosphere you could ever even struggle to imagine, this recording at points just grips you from inside when you hear the crowd noise SOAR!! and the Mc cant help but just shout ATMOSPHERE!!! as thats all you can say in the face of nrg that strong and that charged with positivity... its gotta be Harmony and Tekno Storm that really hit me the most and of course Hixxys Stomper super uplifting track..., ez luke (dj playboy as you were then!) if your reading this I only know about this tape cos' you played it to me once in your car, cant thank you enough m8..cheers..si Supreme is still playin out in todays Hardcore scene check out his label website below... The tape must have had a fault as theres a strange rustle sound that turns up every now and then but that just makes it sound even more lo-fi which adds to the sense of nostalgia and makes you realise just how far weve all come since then... more Helter sets comin your way very soon!! If you came down to the Braindrop summer party a couple of weeks ago you may have be given this mix as a free CD that was in a super flashy DVD case with full colour sleeve!. There were only 125 of those given out so if youve got one just remember' there extra special.! This mix is named after the next braindrop which is to be held on the 25th of July @ Jacks, London Bridge. This was due to the bass bins at Jacks bein so powerfull they vibrated part of the equpment that was involved in the recording to the edge of a table. It fell off and stopped the signal for a while' till i found it in a heap on the floor and quickly put it back together again!.So there ya go you cant say were not honest at BDR... ps the 2Unlimited Track was such a wicked choice... : ) ( mix length 30 mins meant to be an hour ) FIND OUT MORE ABOUT SPREE@ |

I got to play to a massive crowd of Hardcore Hungry ravers and played some tracks that ive been gaggiing to rinse out of a massive system ever since I was 15!. Lyrical master and all round cheeky sod MC Cutter gave it all hes got and hyped the Braindrop family to the max like only he knows how' meanwhile the dance floor erupted into a frenzy of flying arms and massive grins. All in all I had an unforgetable nite and by the last 20mins of the set we had a stage full of dancers and people sitting on there m8s shoulders with hands reaching up and into the sky. Id like to thank Dudgy, Hallmark and Kumar for giving me the slot straight after them, its what I always wanted and appriciate it more than you could know.... : ) The CD Below is BDR-CD002 and contains the full set Live set From Braindrop 023#.
