PLEASE CLICK ON THE FLYER TO VISIT THE BRAINDROP WEBSITE I think I can safely say that I enjoyed putting this set together more that any other set Ive prepared for a gig this year!. This was mainly due to the legends that are Luna-C, CLSM and Dave Skywalker for releasing and supplying me with some outstanding new tracks in the few weeks leading up to the event. The "Hits You Like Thunder" release from Darwin, Obie and MR.E is an absolute Slammer and will sit proudly in my sets for many monthes to come!. That along with the tracks I managed to extract from Luna-C's Supersets including the unforgetable "99 Red Balloons 2009 RMX" made this Braindrop one of my best raves of Summer 09'. I done my best to take the Braindrop ravers on a journey through as many shades of the Hardcore/Rave/Breakcore sound that I love within the 1 hour set that I was given' and I think my plan came to its ultimate climax with another track that Ive as of yet, failed to mention. Dave Skywalkers' Antiques Roadshow Breakcore remix. If you havnt' heard it yet your in for a seriously sublime rave deliacy!. Also because I was playing a late set I got to play for an extra 25 mins making this nearly as long as normal McMASHCLAN Braindrop rinseout. MC Cutter was on top form, never failing to hype the crowd whilst taking the piss out of me, himself and the ravers at every oppertunity!. In the end my set went on for so long he had to slip out for a sly fag before the last tune was over!. Very unprofessional m8! : ) Unfortunatly the mixer seemed to malfunction in a strange way that I cant quite get my head around, but basicaly the mic didnt come out on the Recording for the first 45 mins of the set meaning Cutters lyrical talent doesnt make its entrance till Eskimo's bangin Recycled track. PLEASE CLICK ON THE FLYER TO VISIT THE BRAINDROP WEBSITE Braindrop@Hidden was one of my favorite Raves of Summer 09' with a full on festival style vibe present throughout and a hand picked line up that couldn't have been more fitting. The main room was full to bursting when the McMASHCLAN stepped up to the decks with another 5 deck rinse out brewing in there turntablist psyches, then it began, the nonstop onslaught of bass, joy fun and happiness that we were all waiting for. I saw loads of people having an amazing time with the rave platforms on both sides of the room full to bursting point with shirtless grinning ravers, flexing it hard and loving every minute. This set includes more tracks produced by the McMASHCLAN than any other live set so far, unfortunately the recording equipment had a few probs at Hidden and we only got the first 50mins of this set down, but what a 50 minutes, look out for the track list for this McMASH set and others appearing on BDR soon... next stop Scala. click on the flyer above to find out more... the line up is unbelievable!!!. This set was put together to help promote the BANGFACE weekender which was to be held in Norfolk in Summer 2009, due to local council wankers who havnt got a fuckin clue the event was cancelled and replaced with a full on rinse out at The Arches in London Bridge were Bangface let upwards of 300 people in for free to say sorry to all the ravers who were lookin forward to the weekender.... As far as the set goes...Luke Vibert seems to have managed a small mirical by fitting over 30 tracks in to a half hour set, which is pretty impressive even if he did use Ableton. Thankyou Bangface.. Jay knows what he's doing when it comes to this style of dirty gabba as I learnt when I had the pleasure of seeing him play at Tinnitus in Sheffield back in April of this year. I went for a much more 4/4 orientated set with heavy use of the new free downloads from the www.kniteforcerevolution.com website. Theres loads of tracks in here that I was just itching to play to a really responsive crowd and thats exactley what I got!. The Omen sound track remix is just explosive plus the CLSM move on remix is just spine tingeling every time I hear it, all in all I REALLY LIKE THIS SET....... thanks for having me down guys!.. Tinnitus will now be taking a much heavier part in BDR with a large amount of live sets from past events appearing on our pages in the next few monthes, keep your eyes on the gabba - Breakcore - Speedcore mixes section as most music from Tinnitus is on the fuckin hard as nails side of things... I was totaly impressed with the level of effort that had gone into everybodys costumes and even felt slightly underdressed myself at times!!!. (that never happens). All the sets went down a storm and McMASH brought the vessel up to full on frenzy level within 10 mins of being on the decks, loads of acapella and drum and bass mash up action goin on in this set along with a good splattering of this new Wobble and Bass music that seems to have spawned itself from dubstep over the last year or so, (Wobble and Bass has now been added to the Electro and Dubstep mixes section if your lookin for that kind of ting). McMASH also showcased more of there own productions than ever before in this set with a good few tracks produced by the McMASHCLAN. check out the mix below which is a full on MCMASHCLAN production mix that was given out at the end of the boat party as part of the free Braindrop CD. This set has been a very long time coming as It was given to me just after the last BDR update nearly 6 monthes ago so has had to wait till now to go up, The Parliamentilist has obviously spent a huge amount of time putting this mix together and all the tracks included in this mix were produced by the man in question. Really tight and fully present production is what makes all this music stand out as original and well thought out, collecting tha samples must have taken week on its own, let alone writing all the tracks which are consistantly excellent. I got to play to a massive crowd of Hardcore Hungry ravers and played some tracks that ive been gaggiing to rinse out of a massive system ever since I was 15!. Lyrical master and all round cheeky sod MC Cutter gave it all hes got and hyped the Braindrop family to the max like only he knows how' meanwhile the dance floor erupted into a frenzy of flying arms and massive grins. All in all I had an unforgetable nite and by the last 20mins of the set we had a stage full of dancers and people sitting on there m8s shoulders with hands reaching up and into the sky. Id like to thank Dudgy, Hallmark and Kumar for giving me the slot straight after them, its what I always wanted and appriciate it more than you could know.... : ) The CD Below is BDR-CD002 and contains the full set Live set From Braindrop 023#.
