This set was put together to help promote the BANGFACE weekender which was to be held in Norfolk in Summer 2009, due to local council wankers who havnt got a fuckin clue the event was cancelled and replaced with a full on rinse out at The Arches in London Bridge were Bangface let upwards of 300 people in for free to say sorry to all the ravers who were lookin forward to the weekender.... As far as the set goes...Luke Vibert seems to have managed a small mirical by fitting over 30 tracks in to a half hour set, which is pretty impressive even if he did use Ableton. Thankyou Bangface.. This was one of the best Graffiti Breakz events that we have had in a while and im sure eveyone who was there on the nite would say the same thing, the good vibes were flowing hard all nite long with a good crowd of very familiar faces turning up way before 10pm!!!. The Junkyard Scientists were absolutley amazing and set the standard very high for everyone playing after them, all the DJs on that nite were up to the challenge including myself and I feel I pulled it off pretty well, the set went down a treat and cutter was on form with his usual mix of Old Skool flavour and witty banter, at one point he spells out my DJ name only to realise hes running out of space and quickly blurts out the last three letters only to follow it with "nearly lost it there but its ok, ive still got it" wicked m8 makes me laugh everytime, all in all the nite was great, we even had a massive contingency of ravers come back to out house for a big old sesh afterwards, including some new faces we met that nite from a near by uni, hello jake and sam if ya happen to be reading this!!. .. : ) Now for some news... We are very happy to annouce the we will be moving venue for 2009. The new venue will be in the same north London area and will probably have a 6am licence so we can carry on raving till everyones trully satisfied!. In the mean while we will be having a break with the next Graffiti Breakz to be happening sometime in April or May, I for one defo need a break but dont dispare, we will return with even more fresh new ideas and unique artists and DJs... till then have a wicked 2009 and respect for supporting us since Graffiti Breakz 001# back in June 2007... : ) FIND OUT MORE ABOUT ME@ |

I played one of my most confusing sets ever and tried my best to be as original as possible whilst still playing the old classics. Really lovin the wicked samples and the bootleg t tracks all courtesy of Luna-c's Supaset 7 which is now available to download on BDR... A Big up goes out to MC Cutter and Ganja MC who both done a excellent job of hosting the nite, Cutter was on his best behavour' which is still fuckin cheeky but at least nobody goes home in an ambulance... till the next time. This was due to the bass bins at Jacks bein so powerfull they vibrated part of the equpment that was involved in the recording to the edge of a table. The next Graffiti Breakz will be on a saturday as we are movimg dates to accomodate the needs of the Purple Turtle. This will almost definetley be Saturday the 12th of July although this is yet to be confirmed 100%. I had the pleasure of meetin some of the Nu-Basement crew and some other safe peps from the hardcore Breaks scene. The nite was just after new years so we decided to go back to the home grown line up and just have some fun together, and thats exactley what went on. I tried to tone my set down a bit after slipping in a bit to much 4/4 action for the breakbeat crowd at the last Graff Breaks. I got a big order of hardcore Breaks choons just before xmas and mixed up the best of the bunch for the first half hour, after that its a few oldskool classics followed by some rinsing hardcore mash up bizzness from mr Luna-C. I got a bit confused as to how much time was left as I was playin last set and the new bar manager gave me some confusing hand signals from behind the bar. I got mixed up with the time and well., youll hear what happens. If you were there youll know what I mean. if not wait till about 10 mins before the end of the set. .Big up to MC CUTTER for havin the driest sense of humour and supportin all the DJs throughout the nite...... safe.. But due to that I got a bit Carried away with the levels.. therefore this mix is distorted in a few places at the beggining and a few times in the middle . none of it was bad enough to leave it off the site but I did have to mess about with it alot to try and improve the sound as much as I could. The piano confusion remix is so loud it sounds like the systems is about to go into melt down as Cutter trys as hard as he can to be heard over the top of it. A big shout goes out to Cutter who has already become a indisposable part of Graffiti breakz and a big shout goes out to the Mybreakz crew who were great to work with along with the Don FM crew. If you joined the mailing list and received a free badge thanks alot if ya didnt dont worry well be doin it again next time. The soundcard on the PC we use to record randomly creats clicks and pops on the recordings and sometimes makes the mix sound like its skipping. This happened on the first 3 sets from Graff Breakz 02# so bad that I cant put them up, But by JCs set the prob was sorting it self out but it still happens every so often. The prob was the choons in his set are so good that I couldnt leave it off the site so I decided to write this massive blurb instead!. So now that you know if you hear that kind of thing happening on other sets that you have downloaded from us it probably gonna be that. JC's set has such a wicked oldskool feel to it with loads of choons that I wanna turn up flat out everytime time I hear em. The one that I love the most is the super special remix of Pretty Green Eyes that JC had made just for his Girlfriend's birthday!!! ( "pretty green eyes" on dontstayin.com).. I asked him about the track when he was leaving and when he told me it was one of the biggest Ahhhh moments of the nite.I was lovin the track so it had to go on BDR and the skipping prob stops happening well before that track!!!. We couldnt have wished for a better launch nite and a better crowd to do it with. The graffers were goin all nite and every DJ Rinsed it out to the max with The Mc Mash Clan and DJ Nee doin some serious damage on the dance floor. My set was last of the nite and I had a chance to play some stuff that had been collecting cobwebs in my room for a while and fuck me didi that go down well, by the last half hour the whole place was goin mad.
